North West Community Services Celebrates National Neighbourhood Centre Week “Your Place To Connect”

This National Neighbourhood Centre Week, we’re celebrating the power of connection, belonging and community 💛

At North West Community Services, we are proud to be part of a nationwide movement recognising neighbourhood centres as “Your Place to Connect” — welcoming spaces where people can access support, build relationships, learn new skills and feel part of their community.

Over the past year, we have created more than 36,000 occasions of connection across the North West through food relief, disaster support, youth and family programs, aged and disability services, wellbeing activities, counselling, volunteering and community events.

Neighbourhood centres are more than just buildings — they are places where people come together in times of need and celebration, helping build stronger and more resilient communities.

We would also like to sincerely thank our valued partners, supporters, volunteers and community members — including Blacktown City Lions Club and Riverstone Baptist Church — whose generosity and collaboration help us support vulnerable people across our region.

Together, we are building a stronger community where everyone has a place to belong.
