Community Visitors Scheme
The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) aims to enrich the quality of life of residents in aged care who are socially isolated or lonely and would benefit from a regular friendly visitor.
CVS helps build links between people living in residential care and their local community through shared interests and regular social visits.
A community visitor is a trained volunteer matched with a resident for regular visits. Time together may include a chat, shared hobbies, or a short outing when suitable.
